Job matching is a system that our site uses to compare your profile to the requirements of our employers. Think of it as something like a dating website where we match you profile to what employers are looking for. Your profile consists of four(4) main sections: Education, Work Experiences, Work Preferences and Skills. Depending on what your profile shows, we will match you with the job openings that are relevant to you. This helps you land a relevant job quickly since the employer does not need go through a thousand profiles just to see yours. They will immediately see how well you match to their job opening.I am not happy with my match scores, how do I improve them?
First and foremost you would need to complete your profile as much as possible. Make sure you have described the four(4) main sections of your profile (Education, Work Experiences, Work Preferences and Skills). The more detailed your profile is, the better chances you will get higher match scores. What is Career Networking and how does it help me land a job?
Like any other Social Networking website like Facebook or Friendster you will be able to connect with your friends. Once you have been matched with a job opening, you can then check if you have any friends connected with that company. For example, you were matched with a job from Company A and it so happens that a friend of yours from your old company is a Manager in Company A. You can then contact your friend and ask him about that job. Now don't you think that would help you land that job? In most cases, the referral system is still the biggest way companies search for new hires.Do I automatically have connections/friends when I register?
No, you would need to complete your profile by adding your school or the companies you have worked for. Once you have done this, you will be able to see the people who have worked at the same company and went to the same school. You can then add these people to your career network but they would need to confirm your request first.Employer Questions
